Francesca Cornelli, Professor of Finance

Professor Francesca Cornelli heads the finance department at London Business School and is the Director of the Coller Institute of Private Equity. Her research interests include corporate governance, private equity, privatisation, bankruptcy, initial public offerings and innovation policy. She has held positions, or taught, at Wharton, the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, The London School of Economics, the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad and the New Economic School in Moscow.

      She has published several papers in the leading finance and economics journals and she gives regular talks at major conferences and universities. She is an editor of The Review of Financial Studies and of Private Equity Findings.

Andrew Scott, Professor of Economics

Professor Andrew Scott lectures on macroeconomics, showing how macro forces shape the global competitive environment. His research looks at business cycles; monetary and fiscal policy; and global capital markets. He is Deputy Dean, Programmes and Professor of Economics at London Business School and a Fellow of All Souls, Oxford University and The Centre for Economic Policy Research.

      He has previously been an advisor to HM Treasury, the Bank of England and the House of Commons; and a Non-Executive Director (and Chair of Risk Committee) at the Financial Services Authority. He has held lecturing positions at Harvard, London School of Economics and Oxford University. He has also been awarded the General Teaching Excellence Prize, for which he is regularly shortlisted.
